    @CassetteMaster:

    When I was a kid I loved these Fisher stereo systems. I didn’t know this specific model, but among relatives and friends I could see some other similar items. It’s quite hard to find pictures of other models in the web, do you know of any sites? Looks like I’ll have to search in a lot of garage sales =)

    Hey man! Cool you enjoy this vintage equipment. I have sold my Fisher 500-C tube stereo to a collector. Also had the Fisher pre-amp/mixer. It had all the 1950’s RIAA equip curvers, reverse channels, spring reverb,.. etc built in. Top Audio in the late 50s and early 60s.
    Glad you enjoy thie vintace equipment !

    Yorx?? Fisher lost a lot by the 80’s. The old tube stuff was great.

    I don’t know if yours are better or not because mine are also 3-way, with 12″ woofer.

    The internet connection I was on wouldne’t show the vid 4 some reason, but I have a pair of Utah Audio HS5-A speakers in my basement. Do you know if these are better then yours? 12″ woofer, mid and a Horn high freq. driver. I think that the HF is gone, but even after tearing the speaker apart, all of the connections are good (checked and tesetd). I have come to the decision that the speakers are just realllllly old.

    I have seen that same record in used record stores over the years.

    Those old K-Tel compilations are good. I have a few on record. Impressive selection of 8-track decks.

    I have a YORX Digital alarm clock/AM/FM Stereo/8-track player, but oddly, the DIGITAL clock RUNS TOO FAST!!! So you can’t keep time with it!

  20. raymondleeleggs on September 17th, 2009 11:36 am
