This is a Philips 312 belt drive turntable. It’s only two speed (33 and 45), and it doesn’t have a changer, but it still works great. This was a trash find. The record is Disc 1 of Fleetwood Mac Live. … Phillips 312 electronic record turntable player vintage trash find

I eventually got a Dual CS721 (in the mid-80’s) and thought that one was the best. That was my last table. Thanks again for the great vid. The Phillips was around way back in 1976. Tech-HiFi in NY sold it.

Yeah I have noticed that it’s a bit sensitive… right now, it’s sitting on top of a bookcase that’s fastened into the floor and wall, so that’s not really an issue, though. My dad has a Dual in his stereo setup. I think it needs a new belt or something though, as you constantly need to adjust the speed for it to play consistantly.

I had one of these tables. Nice sound and elegant operation, but it was really sensitive to vibration and would skip at the slightest footstep anywhere near it. Replaced it with a more civilized Dual.

Mine has a Grado G1 cartridge in it, but I don’t think that would work in yours, since it looks as if yours takes the plug-in style cartridge. Mine has the standard screw mount type.
